Just wanted to pop in and share a card that I made to participate in the Creative Grove VIP Community Sketch Challenge. For this challenge I decided to go with Pink, Black and White as my colors. I first started off by stamping my image Love is Kindness. I then used my Stampin’ Markers to color in the image. I wanted to add dimension to this stamp so I stamped it again on another sheet of whisper white and colored it in. I then added stampin’ dimensionals to the back to give it a raised 3-D look. Once I had this completed I then placed my embossed black piece and then added the whisper white image on top. This card is just a clean simple card with a little dimension. Easy to create!
For this project, I used the following products:
Stampin’ Up! Love is Kindness Wooden Stamp
SU- Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Card Stock, Melon Mambo Card Stock
Memento Black Ink
There’s never a better time to tell someone how much you appreciate them. For this Scrap Our Stash challenge I figured it was a nice time to do that. This is a 12 X 12 scrapbook page layout that I decided to frame. If your not familiar with Scrap Our Stash, they have a challenge every month where you are to use create a layout using a letter in a word that they have chosen. For this month’s challenge the word is E-M-B-O-S-S.
E is for Enamel Dots (Yellow and Pink), M is for Mine’s Eye Paper, B is for the Butterfly embellishments, O is for the Overlays, S is for the Dots Stencil used to make the white embossed dots, S is for Stamp for the flower stamp used to make the bouquet of flowers. This is my first time trying this challenge and it was a lot of fun.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mother’s reading this! For this Mojo Monday 396 sketch, I decided to make my Mom a Mother’s Day card. For this card, I wanted to make it simple not too fancy as my Mom is not into the fancy stuff. I started with the MFT PI heart Bouquet Stamp and die set and then added all the elements from there.
For this project I used the following supplies:
MFT PI Heart Bouquet and Die Set
Stampin’ UP! Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, DSP Card Stock
Pretty Pink Posh Sequins
Hello again everyone! I know I’ve not posted in a little while but I’m Back! I’ve just had a lot on my plate lately. I’m now trying to get my Mojo back in gear and with a little help from The Creative Grove and this Technostamper Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 360 sketch I think am getting the Mojo back.
I watched a video on The Creative’s Grove’s website about Emboss Resist Technique and thought that sure is neat and then I saw an email from Technostamper and ding the light bulb came on. I immediately started making this card.
For this card, I used the following Stampin’ Up! supplies:
Whisper White, Black and Bermuda Bay Card Stock
Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay Ink pad
Hello and Feathers Framelits
White Embossing Powder
For this sketch, it was to use the colors Black and White. I chose to make the card black and add the white embossing.
I’ve been a little behind on some of my challenges lately and last night I thought it’s time to get busy and start catching up. Love this sketch for Mojo Mondays 383 Sketch. I felt like I knew exactly what DSP papers I wanted to use for this the moment my eyes saw it. I started off with my standard base card 4.25 X 5.5 in Real Red. I then decided to use the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper. This set has an assortment of 12 double sided DSP papers and a total of 48 sheets. I then used a piece of the watercolor paper and water colored it with Real Red Ink. Once dried, I used the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to make my hearts. I then cut a piece of Black and a piece of white to make my banners. Looking at this together, I then decided I needed a sentiment to pop. I then chose to use a piece of my watercolor paper with red ink and cut out the Love sentiment. Added a couple of sequins and viola!
Once finished, with the card I saw another Love sentiment that I previously cut out and decided to use it inside of my card. Can’t wait to send this card out next week!
Be sure to check out all the items I have used at
Well I’ve been in the Valentine’s mood this weekend. Seeing all of the beautiful reds and pinks in the store and then seeing all of the wonderful projects others have come up with. I’m a VIP member of The Creative Grove and one of the challenges they have is to use watercolor and hearts. I decided that I wanted to participate and no better way than to break out and use something that I haven’t used in my craft room. I received some wonderful new products for Christmas and one of them was the stencil that created this background.
To make this card, I did the following:
1. Cut a piece of whisper white card stock for the background
2. Watercolored on a piece of watercolor paper with Stampin Up! Strawberry Slush and Perfect Plum inks
3. Once dried I used my Stampin’ Up! Big shot to cut out the Hearts and the sentiment Love with my dies.
4. I then used my Tombow Multi-Glue to glue the Large heart and sentiment. I decided to used the Stampin’ Up! dimensionals on the small heart to make it have the dimension that it needed.
5. I then glued the Pretty posh sequins.
6. I layered my background on top of Perfect plum and then adhered it to the card base (strawberry slush)
Can’t wait to send this next week to one of my friends. Be sure to make your Valentines and feel free to case mine!
Just wanted to share with you one of the cards that I made using the Freshly Made Sketch 170. I decided to use the Lotus Blossom Stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
For this card. I started off with a Coastal Cabana card base. I then wanted to use the Crisp Cantaloupe and embossed it. I then cut my 2 pieces out to match with the sketch. Looking at the Crisp Cantaloupe and Coast Cabana I decided to use black to put behind my crisp cantaloupe to make it pop out. I then took my Lotus Blossom stamp set and stamped it. I then decided that I wanted to have it coming from the right side like it was growing. So I cut the lotus blossom out and used some dimensionals to make it stand out. I added the Happy Birthday greeting and put the card was together. I hope you enjoy it!
