I’m getting ready for a little fall weather. For me fall, is just a little cooler as it doesn’t really get to cold where I live. Would just love to be in the 70’s honestly. For this card, I wanted to use the sketch from Sunday Stamps SSC136 and I really wanted to use some pretty fall colors which I found with a package of leaves that I had in my stash.
Please leave comments. I love to hear what you think about my cards and/or projects. Thanks for visiting!
This card is just a great card to tell someone how Grateful, Thankful and Blessed that you are to have them in your life. When life’s moments come your way, most of us realized that we feel this way. My mom had a TIA, two weeks ago and I’ll tell you everything flashed before me. My mom is pretty young (at least I think so) and I didn’t expect anything like this to happen. My mom is doing well, in fact in just hours after she was doing fine. It was just quick and short but really made me think about how grateful, thankful and blessed I am to have her in my life.
I’m entering this card into the following challenges
I just love the beauty of fall leaves. For this card, I decided to use a wonderful stamp set called Vintage Leaves. I’ve seen many cards made with it but wanted to do something a little different. I stamped the 2 large leaves on each corner with Chocolate Chip, then added the lighter leaves with Crumb Cake and finally the two smaller leaves with Soft Suede. After stamping the leaves, I added my Happy Birthday Sentiment in the middle of the images. Once put together I thought to myself, I’d love to add dimension to this card so I stamped the 2 leaves in the corner and fussy cut around them to add them to the front of my card. I just love the way the leaves look on this card. I’m looking forward to the fall season and cooler weather that comes with it (hopefully, lol)
It’s a new month over at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies and I’ve decided to use some new dies that I bought just recently. This set is called Rose Wonder and it had coordinating dies called Rose Garden Thinlits. I decided to start off by using another stamp set called Work of Art to stamp behind my Rose with Crush Curry. I then used my thinlet leaf die to watercolor the leaves with Wild Wasabi. I added a little crumb cake dots from my Gorgeous grudge set and then layered my die cuts over the areas in which I had added the color. For my sentiment, I decided to stamp with versa mark and then emboss the sentiment with gold. I also decided to add just a piece of washi tape to add a little more to the card.
Be sure to join in the fun and enter your cards or projects that use dies. You could win a $15 gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers.
Have you ever bought a stamp set and die set that you just think is so cute. Well this is one of those for me. I was recently out at Scrapbook Expo and saw this set by Stamps for Life. I just loved the Supersize Fries, and just had to have it.
For this card, I just wanted to showcase the fries. I wanted to make a clean simple card, nothing to fancy. I started out by stamping on a white sheet of Whisper White paper the french fries. I then used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them in and used the french fries die to cut them out. After viewing, the one layer of fries, I decided to really supersize them by adding a second layer. I cut the fry box out in Real Red paper and then decided on the sentiment. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder. I added them to a whisper white background and then layered it with black on a whisper white base.
I’ve been wanting to play with my new Sweet cupcake stamp set and dies and I finally got to play! I decided to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch # 246 for this card. I love to play along with various challenges. Here’s the sketch and card I made using the sketch.
Stamp Used: Sweet Cupcake and Swirly Bird by Stampin’ Up!
Dies: Cupcake Cutout Framelits
Inks Used: Strawberry Slush, Regal Rose, Pink Priouette, Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe, Crumb Cake
Just a friendly Colorful Hello! Sometimes all you need is something simple. This card gave me just that. I used one of the new dies from my Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Dies to and the new in colors to come up with this card.
Here’s a quick and easy Congrats card that I created. I like to have a few cards made and available in case something comes up and thought this would be perfect for an engagement or a wedding. I decided to use the Freshly Made Sketches #244 as an outline for this card.
Thanks for joining me over at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies this month. For this month, I decided to showcase a card that I made for my mom’s best friend Judy. My mom and July share the same birthday but were born in different years. They have been best of friends since I was about 3 years old. Judy loves colors so I thought why not showcase a beautiful rainbow on her card.
For this card, I used the following dies MFT Rainbow die, Clouds dies and a sun die from Spellbinders. I used the Stampin Up! Marquee Messages Stamp set for the sentiments. Please leave me comments as I love to hear from all of you.
Be sure to play along with me over at Happy Little Stampers by linking up to the July Challenge.
Today is my Mom’s Birthday and she loves Flamingos! I just recently bought Pop of Paradise from Stampin’ Up! with the Flamingo in it and knew that I was going to create a Birthday card for her. I looked at different examples of what others did out online but couldn’t find anything that I liked so I decided to create a little scenery for the card. I’ve decided to enter this into the challenge over at Stamping Sensations. This month is feature a creature.
For this card, I started out by stamping my flamingo and fussy cutting him out. I then used the Seaside Embossing Folder by Stampin’ Up to make my waves. For the sun, I used a spellbinders set to cut out the shape and stamped the sun. I didn’t like how it looked for the middle of the sun so I cut out the sentiment from a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set and used my 1″ circle punch to cut it out. To make it blend in a bit I blended my Daffodil delight ink around the sun. I then decided I wanted a palm tree so I used a stampscapes stamp Frond to make the tree. The base of the tree was made from a wood grain embossing folder. I added some white gel to give the waves a little more pop. The background of my card is sponged with marina mist.
