Paper Pals Art Challenge 166

This weeks challenge was to use the colors Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate.

So I decided that I needed a quick and simple project because I knew I was not going to have much time to get it done. So I chose to use the Too Kind Stamp Set (130450). Of course, I knew the color scheme so I just went to work. The Too Kind Stamp set gives you the option of using any color to come up with flowers. For this project today I used the following:

PAPER: Smoky Slate Card Stock, Daffodil Delight Card Stock, Strawberry Slush Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock

Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink, Garden Green (stems)

Embellishments: Basic Pearls Jewel Accents, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat, and Essentials Paper Piecing Template (126187)

Mojo Monday 304

For this week’s Mojo Monday I decided to use my new sneak peek stamp set. I just love Santa Claus. His image is so pretty. It just takes me back to when I was a young child going to visit him at the mall. For this challenge, I used three different sneak peek items that we be available for purchase on August 1, 2013.

Here’s what I came up with:

mojo 304

I wanted to keep this one simple. So I just stamped my Santa (from Santa’s List Stamp Set) on a piece of Natural White Card stock with a Jet Black Stazon Pad (101406). Then I cut a piece of Season of Style DSP paper for the polka dot strip (a Sneak Peek), I used a piece of real red paper and embossed it with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (a Sneak Peek). I used a piece of retired gumball green ribbon and round designer ribbon slide (127684). I then decided to add the little white pearls in the upper corner for an added touch. I then attached this to a piece of white card stock.

Paper Pals Art Challenge 165

For this week’s Paper Pals Art Challenge I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! DSP paper called Modern Medley. I have found that you can use this paper for so many projects. I just love the black and white patterns that it offers. I also decided to use the Real Red to make it pop. The stamp set I used is called Everything Eleanor. I have it pictured below so you can see what’s in the set. I’ve used this set in many projects that I have made.

The PPA Challenge 165 Sketch looks like this:

Mojo Monday 303

It’s Mojo time. For this week’s sketch I decided to to use some Holiday products. I figure it’s time for me to start thinking about Christmas cards. So I knew I wanted to the Ornaments Keepsakes and the Sneak Peek DSP paper that will be in the Holiday Catalog.  So this is what I came up with.

I love the Gumball green color for Christmas. It’s just so vibrant and makes the Real Red just pop out. I stamped my ornaments on a sheet of white cardstock then cut the sheet to fit my real red background. I use the paper piercing tool to add a little dimension to the two green ornaments and the corners of my white card stock. I used the cherry cobbler baker’s twine to put a bow on my middle ornament and to wrap the card. The two DSP paper’s are from the New Holiday Catalog which will be available to order from on August 1, 2013.

Here’s another picture of the card so that you can see how it looks flat.
