I Vike You

It’s time to join in and make your ATC card for this month’s challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. This month’s theme is Hearts. Since my hubby likes Vikings, I decided to use this new stamp that I had purchased. Do any of you watch Vikings? If so, who is your favorite character? Let me know in the comments below.

Gobble ’til you Wobble

It’s November and turkey time! Well this turkey may not think so, but we all know that when Thanksgiving comes most people have turkey on the table.   For this month’s creation for Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Design Team, I have decided to make a card using some new products that I’ve received.  I’ve listed them down below for you.

Be sure to join in the fun and submit your creations using Dies for your chance to win a Gift Certificate from Happy Little Stampers.

Over the Rainbow

Thanks for joining me over at the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies this month. For this month, I decided to showcase a card that I made for my mom’s best friend Judy. My mom and July share the same birthday but were born in different years. They have been best of friends since I was about 3 years old. Judy loves colors so I thought why not showcase a beautiful rainbow on her card.

For this card, I used the following dies  MFT Rainbow die, Clouds dies and a sun die from Spellbinders. I used the Stampin Up! Marquee Messages Stamp set for the sentiments. Please leave me comments as I love to hear from all of you.

Think Happy for CAS Card Challenge

I just received a package in the mail with new stamps and stencils. Of course, I was so excited that I had to find a reason (ha ha) to use them right away. I decided to enter into the Anything CAS Goes with the optional color twist: Spring Green.

I have used several different items and brands in this card. They are as follows: Stampin’ Up cardstock in Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Vanilla and DSP, Stamplorations Happy Sunflower Stamp and Confetti Circles Stencil, Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms Dies, Ranger Distressed Inks, Stampin’ Up Hello Honey ink, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen, MFT Washi Tape Dies, Stampin Dimensionals, Rhinestones and Tombow Glue.

Using the Negative for HLS Challenge

I received an email about the Happy Little Stampers Die Cuts Challenge this month and when I viewed all of the showcase Designers this idea just popped in my head to use a die that I bought from mftstamps. It’s called Christmas Tree cutout. I’ve been trying to figure out different ways to use this die and when I saw how Ingrid had showcased using the negative it gave me this idea.

To make this card, I first trimmed my top layer to size (3.75 X 5). I then ran the die thru the big shot to cut out my image. Once this was completed I cut a second piece for the background. On the second piece, I used the Stampin UP!  Watercolor Wash Background stamp. In order to give it the variation of color that I was looking for, I used Ranger Distress inks to ink up the stamp. I used the mini stamps in multiple spots adding a bit of different greens to the mix. Once I added all of the different shades of green, , I then used a brown for the base of the tree and stamped on my piece of paper. I then let it dry and adhered the two pieces together. Once they were adhered, I cut my background piece of black (4 X 5.25) and adhered it to my green base. I decided to use the sentiment from the Stampin Up! Stamp Set Wondrous Wreath. I stamped it in Real Red. I added dimensionals behind the sentiment and the white card base so it would pop out. I then added Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the card to give it more of the Christmas feel. Hope you enjoy your week! Let me know what you think about the card and join in the fun over at Happy Little Stampers!

Pretty poppies

Here’s a really pretty card that I made for a challenge on mftstamps.com. I used a new stamp set called LJD Delicate Pretty Poppies. This stamp set now only has pretty poppies it also has pretty sayingimage  image

as well. For this card, I decided to use the Concentric Circle stencil sponged in the background and then layered the poppies to make them pop off the card. I used one of my grass die-namics for the grass. I added the saying with a little silver thread in the background. I also used a wink of Stella clear to add the sparkle to my background and flowers.
