It’s time to Celebrate Birthdays and to join in on the 30 Day Color Challenge! I need to get my Mojo back and I thought why not accomplish this with the 30 day color challenge. Anyone can join in so give it a try! You can do any form of coloring. I’m taking a watercolor class so I think tonight I’m going to give that a try. Maybe I’ll share it will you tomorrow.
This card that I have made is a clean and simple style. I just really wanted to showcase the beauty of the Balloons. I used the Mint Macaroon Ink and Paper and added the splash of black behind to showcase the color. Hope you all have a Wonderful Day!
After receiving an email from a blog that I subscribe too, I discovered several tag challenges. For this tag, I’m participating in two different ones.
The tag I have created is a Mixed Media tag. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and white embossing paste to make my background. I then added a few spots of gold stickles. I then stamped and punched out my poinsettia. After laying the poinsettia atop of the base I decided that I needed a sentiment so I stamped my sentiment and then punched the right side of it to add more character.
Once the layout was completed I then added my bow and tag ribbon to it. I hope this tag gives you inspiration. Have a Wonderful week!
Please be sure and visit the following two sites that I’m participating in their mixed media challenge.
I was inspired to make this card this week after seeing a project done by Ingrid Blackburn. She used a holly stencil and made several beautiful cards with it. I decided to use a holly stencil as well and used silver embossing paste for my background. I then cut the piece into thirds to apply to my Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock. I placed the 3 pieces on my Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Cardstock. I then decided to cut a tag to add my Santa (DSP Stampin’ Up!). Before adding him I used a piece of silver cording to add some depth to him. Lastly, I added my Christmas Wishes (Stampin’ Up! Ornamental Pine Stamp Set) Sentiment.
If you’ve never tried using Embossing paste, I suggest you do so. It’s so much fun!!! and Beautiful when completed.
Im entering this into the Muse:Christmasvisions 21 and Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge September 2015. If you’ve never been to either of the sites check them out. They have wonderful challenges each month.
Here’s a really pretty card that I made for a challenge on mftstamps.com. I used a new stamp set called LJD Delicate Pretty Poppies. This stamp set now only has pretty poppies it also has pretty saying
as well. For this card, I decided to use the Concentric Circle stencil sponged in the background and then layered the poppies to make them pop off the card. I used one of my grass die-namics for the grass. I added the saying with a little silver thread in the background. I also used a wink of Stella clear to add the sparkle to my background and flowers.
I bought some new goodies from the My Favorite Things store and boy was I excited to get busy and create with them. I purchased several stamp sets and die-namics that they recently released. For this card, I used the Soda Pop Stamp set and matching Die-namics, the Concentric Circle Grid stencil, die-namics stitched and pierced circle stax, and pretty pink posh sequins.
I started out by sponging the concentric circle grid stencil with 3 colors, I then used my stitched and pierced circle stax to cut out my main feature circle. Once I cut that out I thought why not add a little more pop by bringing in some of the solid colors and used the smaller circle die-namics to cut my smaller circles. I put everything in place to view how it looked and thought the 4th circle was just too much so I just used part of the circle to make it look like a lime. I used adhesive to adhere everything down and then added my pretty pink posh sequins to give it the bubbly effect. I just love everything you dew is just perfect to make anyone’s day! It definitely made my day! Can’t wait to send this card off to a friend. I hope you have a Wonderful Creative Week and remember to make someone’s day by sending them a card!
I once again decided to participate in the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. For this card, I’ve used the Lovely with Trees Stamp set. I first thought why not make a snowy looking background and then added the trees. For a little sparkle I used my Wink of Stella Clear pen.
Hope this card gives you some inspiration! Hope you have a Wonderful Day!
I’ve been so inclined to get back into the swings of things and decided to participate in the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge this month. The challenge is to use a Tree in your card. I’ve been wanting to get started on my Christmas cards for this year and I succeeded by getting one done! I have a friend who has cows just like me and thought what better way to use my new stamp set that my son bought me for Mother’s Day from My Favorite Things. It’s the Barnyard animals. He bought me the stamps and dies because he knew I fell in love with them.
For this card, I used the cow from my Barnyard Animals stamp set and die cut. I also used grass die from MFT. The Tree that I stamped on my whisper white paper is from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!, and the Merry die cut is also from Stampin’ Up!. To get started I first cut out my two cows and then stamped them. I then cut my grass and sentiment and sponged my whisper white paper with Marina Mist and then stamped my Tree with Garden green. Then I layered everything on the paper to make sure it looked like I wanted it to. Once I had everything in place I started adhering everything in place. For my background, I used Real Red behind the Whisper White and my Base is Garden Green. (Festive Colors for Christmas) I also went with tiny red rhinestones on my tree to really make the card Pop.
Last week, I decided it was time to get back into the swing of things and what better way than to start participating in some challenges again. For this challenge, I decided to participate with the Freshly Made Sketches # 194 by using my Skating By stamp set. This stamp set has a cute little guy and a few items that he can hold or ride on. I decided to make him Rock with his guitar.
Hope you all have a Wonderful Day! Take time out for yourself and play with all your Stamping Supplies!
I received my new stamp set yesterday and of course I just had to figure out something to use it for. I decided to participate in the Paper Players Challenge. This stamp set is just so delightful. It was one of those must haves for me. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. For this card, I used a piece of the 2015-2017 In Colors Watermelon Wonder DSP Paper. Cut to 2.25″ X 5.5″ on each. I then added a piece of whisper white and put it at 1/4″ above and below the DSP Paper. I cut the Hello from the Greeting Thinlits die using Whisper White Paper. I stamped my flower image on Whisper white with versa mark and then embossed it with Black embossing powder. I then used Watermelon Wonder to sponge the flowers. For a little extra pop, I used Metallic Silver string behind the image so that it would have an extra embellishment popping out. Below are two cards that I made using this stamp and DSP paper. Have a Wonderful Day!
I know it’s only May and your wondering why I’m showing you a Christmas card, well I’ve decided to participate in the museChristmasVisons.blogspot.com challenge for this week. A good friend of mine participated in this challenge and I was really impressed with all of the submissions. So I thought why not try myself. Boy it sure was fun using the inspiration that Chris Blagrave pictured. For my inspiration, I used the poinsettia from SU Joyful Christmas as my center piece with the teal as my background. For the poinsettia, I embossed it with Zing Brown Sugar embossing powder and then added the embossed leaves with the teal color. I then added the SU sequins as well to really make the color pop. The Joyful Christmas Wishes was also embossed with the Zing brown sugar embossing powder. I used a MFT Snowflake Fusion background die with Bermuda Bay.
Hope this inspires you today to get crafty!
